How do I cut my dogs nail who is so unwilling?

So my little dog (she isn't really little, she's old already) dosent want me to even touch her when I get the clippers out.. She has the longest nails ever and once I start or precede on cutting her nails she starts crying and biting.. How do I get her nails done whiteout pro help?
