I think only one woman is capable of loving me; anyone know this feeling?

I'm a fairly level headed and rational person (most of the time), but I'm 22 yrs old now and I've only had one gf my entire life. Prior to her, all I have are memories of failures trying to woo women. I think the reason is b/c I'm vertically challenged, so a lot of women, despite my other charms, naturally couldn't endure the public embarrassment of being with a guy shorter than them. My last gf, however, was different. She's one inch taller without heels, and she was more worried about me being embarrassed when we went out while she was wearing heels, than the other way around. We did recently break up b/c of some apparently irreconcilable philosophical differences, and I just miss her so much. Remembering how much failures preceded meeting this one special exceptional woman, I'm quite terrified at how long It'll be before someone like her comes along again. Anyone understand this feeling?

Yes. The name Nikki makes my ear bleed. Every Nikki I've ever known has either been extremely annoying or tried to steal my boyfriend. So from now on; I judge all Nikki's. Irrationally, of course.

Will my ex talk to me eventually?

My ex-boyfriend and I broke up about a month ago. I posted the long story in another question, if you need details. It was a hard and sad break up, as we both did not want it, especially me. He is just not ready for a relationship right now and does not know what he wants. He was very adamant on remaining friends, and preceded to talk to me nearly every day since we broke up. I care for him so deeply and always want to be there for him, but I know that being friends is not healthy right now, as I still have not been able to get over him, and it just gives me false hope that we will get back together in the future. He said he would like to and there is a def chance that we could, but I do not want to even think that is a possibility, as to not get my hopes up. Last week, I had to make the heartbreaking decision that we should stop talking for a while. He was upset and said that he wanted to keep talking to me without question and could not imagine not talking to me. I explained why I need some time, and he agreed that we should stop talking for a week or two and see where it goes from there. It will be a week tomorrow, and I haven't contacted him at all and have not heard from him either. I am getting so nervous and worried, and think that he already forgot about me and could care less. Why would he not try to get in touch with me? Is he just respecting what I asked and will eventually talk to me? I don't want us to lose each other forever. I feel so sad and empty, so lost without him. :(
